Clinical-TherapyPsychotherapy involves the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of emotional, behavioral and mental health issues. Psychologists are uniquely trained in various assessment techniques including both objective and subjective measures of cognition, personality, and psychopathology.

Psychotherapists can help support clients in working through issues they are facing in their lives and allow a safe, confidential space to talk and explore thoughts and feelings. Different therapists have experience in individuals, couples and/or families, and adopt specific approaches to a multitude of life’s challenges, including:

  •  stress, anxiety and depression
  • interpersonal issues and problems with identity and/or the Self
  • eating disorders and addictions
  • post-traumatic stress disorder
  • obsessive compulsive disorders and phobias
  • general feelings of disconnection

Psychotherapy is aimed at building trust between psychologist or therapist and client, learning and growing from the experience and ultimately healing.
