Massage Therapy

Massage-TherapyMassage has direct psychological and physiological benefits beyond relaxation. A deep tissue massage can alleviate aches and pains and reduce stress in the mind and body too, as well as break down toxins. Improved circulation means these toxins can be more easily removed from the body, while allowing nutrients to reach the cells.

Therapeutic massage can help people with a wide range of medical conditions including:

  • arthritis & sciatica
  • carpal tunnel syndrome
  • MS
  • digestive disorders
  • fibromyalgia
  • insomnia
  • myofascial pain
  • soft tissue damage
  • headaches & migraines

Massage is often used as an effective pain management tool as well as a treatment to improve the functioning of the lymphatic, muscular and nervous systems.

Massage Therapy has been in my life since I received my first massage at 16 due to a car accident. Since then, I have continuously seen the benefits throughout my life due to massage. Because of what massage has done for me, I wanted to give this gift to others: a life where movement is possible without pain! My journey began 10 years ago and I continually grow as a massage therapist, adding new ways to help my clients reach their goals. I’m passionate about helping people live pain free, find ways to relax, give time needed to themselves and have an overall healthy life. I’m very much looking forward to working with you and helping you reach your needs!

Toni’s list of healing massage modalities include:

Deep Tissue
Trigger Point
Hot Stone
Myofascial Release
Lymphatic Drainage

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself”
~ George Bernard Shaw

When I envision the body, I see it as a complete whole. All parts working independently and together, cohesively and in homeostasis…in balance. When these parts don’t work in this fashion, and most times due to daily habits or injuries they don’t, our bodies will compensate in order to maintain this balance, always.

I began looking at the body in a different way 6 years ago when I attended school. I began to notice that there is a”beyond the surface” way of facilitating healing. I have molded my practice around this thinking, taking from my continual education many different ways of facilitating this process. I carry that through with my treatments in injury rehabilitation, sports recovery and maintenance, structural bodywork, relaxation treatments, deep tissue treatments as well as caring for a Mom-to-be with pregnancy massage and wellness.

I also take great care in picking up on the energy that each person both posesses and lacks. My work in shifting that energy around Reiki is fairly new and I’m still learning, continually learning the facets of energy work. Nonetheless, it’s a very important piece that I integrate into my work with each session.

I welcome the opportunity in assisting you on your path to a body in balance.
